Description
What this service covers
A scheduled script can go wrong silently for weeks, and nobody notices until a month-end number is off. We move those jobs into an orchestration tool, where every run can be seen, failures go straight to someone who can fix them and backfilling is routine rather than a weekend lost. Up to eight pipelines are included, built with idempotent tasks and explicit dependencies so no step ever reads data that is only partly written.
What you receive
- Orchestration tool hosted on your container platform or run as a managed service
- Up to 8 pipelines, migrated from current scripts or built new
- Idempotent tasks with sensible retry rules and timeouts
- Explicit dependencies so later tasks wait for complete data
- Alerts for failed and missed runs sent to email or team chat
- Written backfill procedure, shown working on real data
- Connections and variables stored in a secrets backend
The work in 4 stages
-
01
Stage 1: Job census
We list all scheduled jobs, even the ones people have forgotten.
-
02
Stage 2: Behaviour design
For each pipeline we agree dependencies, schedule and what happens on failure.
-
03
Stage 3: Parallel run
New pipelines are built and run alongside the old jobs.
-
04
Stage 4: Cutover
The old scheduled entries are switched off once results match.
Who it suits, and what we need from you
Ideal for
- Data jobs running on a server nobody logs into any more
- Reports that fail quietly and are only noticed days later
- Pipelines that create duplicate records every time they are rerun
What we need from you
- Your current scripts and access to the servers they run on
- Credentials for every source and destination the jobs use
- Someone who can confirm what correct output should look like
You share these through the brief on your order page after checkout.
What changes for your team
- Failures show up within minutes rather than at month end
- Rerunning a failed day is routine, not a manual fix
- New pipelines follow a proven pattern from the start
Questions about this service
Is a full orchestration tool overkill for a handful of small jobs?
Can you reuse our existing scripts?
Who operates it after handover?
This is a remote service: nothing is shipped physically, and the work is delivered into systems you control. See delivery and handover and refunds and cancellation for the full terms.
